Step 1: Complete Studies + Apply for TRA PSA

After completing an Australian Certificate III in Carpentry, apply for TRA’s Provisional Skills Assessment (PSA):

Use up to 5 employers, but 1 employer must employ you for ≥6 months

Phase 2: Job Ready Workplace Assessment (JRWA)

TRA assessor conducts an on-site evaluation of practical skills

Requires ≥1 month of work with current employer before assessment

Phase 3: Job Ready Final Assessment (JRFA)

Submit all documents for final review

Success grants a full skills assessment for permanent visa applications
