This week, Newpoint’s Primary and Secondary School Study Abroad Department visited one of Melbourne's historical and highly reputable girls' schools, Methodist Ladies' College. School Highlights: This Melbourne-based, historically renowned top private girls' school has an excellent local reputation and is one of the largest girls' schools in Australia. Starting in 2023, an additional teacher has been assigned to each class, reducing the student-teacher ratio from 1:24 to 1:12, ensuring that every child receives individual attention. The school offers the IB International Baccalaureate as well as the VCE Victorian Certificate of Education. It boasts the largest Art Department in Victoria, with distinctive programs in both sports and the arts, equipped with a heated indoor swimming pool, sports fields, a performance center, and more. Over 50% of students score above 90, and many go on to study at the top-ranked University of Melbourne in Australia.
School Boarding: The school provides boarding from Year 7 (with a local emergency contact required for students), accommodating over 100 students.
