Introduction

Last time, we introduced the final opportunity to apply for the Master of Nursing program in 2025. Now, the last chance for the 2025 undergraduate intake is here!

Back in September, before applications even opened, the dedicated team at New Starting Point had already informed students to start preparing their documents and submitting applications, giving them a head start in the nursing application process.

At present, many of our students have already enrolled—your future peers are waiting for you!

The 2-year Bachelor of Nursing program at the University of the Sunshine Coast is specifically designed for applicants who already hold a bachelor’s degree.

You’ll be able to graduate and qualify as a registered nurse (RN) in just around 2 years, with affordable tuition fees and attractive scholarships.

In Australia, there’s no fierce competition over academic qualifications—it’s pretty chill. Finding a job after completing your undergraduate nursing degree is absolutely feasible, as most local nurses are also bachelor’s degree holders.

Intake:

• July (most nursing programs start in February)

Duration:

• 2.3 years (graduate and qualify as a Registered Nurse, RN)

Language Requirements:

• IELTS: Overall 7.0, no band less than 7.0
• PTE: Overall 65, no section less than 65 (scores can be combined)

Tuition Fee:

• AUD 31,030 for 2025
• +15% Scholarship (great value for money!)

This program is offered at 3 campuses, all located in Category 2 regional areas, giving you the opportunity to qualify for an extra year on your post-study work visa!

Campuses:

• Sunshine Coast (Fully Booked):
  Main campus, about 1-hour drive from Brisbane; close to shopping centers and beaches.
• Caboolture (Available for Application):
  A small town between Sunshine Coast and Brisbane, about a 50-minute drive from Brisbane; low cost of living.
• Moreton Bay (Fully Booked):
  Around a 30-minute drive from Brisbane; convenient transportation and lifestyle, near the North Lakes shopping district with plenty of part-time job opportunities.

Applications for popular programs like Nursing, often referred to as part of the “Golden Trio” of PR pathways, are in high demand. The 2026 intake is also gradually opening, and we’ve already helped many students secure their offers.
