Following the merger of The University of Adelaide and The University of South Australia, the Master of Nursing (Graduate Entry) program—which had been unavailable since 2026—has now officially been announced!
This is currently the only Group of Eight nursing master’s program located in a designated regional area. We’ve had students enroll every year, and the feedback has been consistently positive. Most have successfully graduated and secured permanent residency!
Program Highlights & Key Changes
Tuition fee reduced significantly: From AU$54,600/year to AU$44,500/year (based on current official figures) – great value for money!
Open to non-nursing backgrounds: Bridging courses are available online.
New intake month: Shifted from February to July – another July intake option for nursing!
Program Details
· Campus: Adelaide City (South Australia – a designated regional area, eligible for migration points)
· Duration: 2 years
· Indicative tuition: AU$44,500/year
Academic Entry Requirements
· A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (non-nursing backgrounds welcome!)
· Completion of Human Anatomy & Physiology courses required –can be taken online prior to starting
English Language Requirements
· IELTS: Overall 7.0, with no band less than 7.0
· PTE: Overall 65, with no band less than 65

The University of Adelaide still requires English test results within 1 year of application. We have confirmed this with university representatives. If any discrepancies appear on the website, they will be updated later. The university is currently in a transitional phase post-merger, and further changes may occur.
