1. 2025 S2 Conditional Offers

As the second semester of 2025 approaches, the university has recently canceled conditional offers for applicants currently outside of Australia, considering the processing time for student visas.

Please note that the following conditional offers remain valid:

·University of Sydney students whose conditional offers are waiting for first-semester results.

·Applicants holding conditional offers within Australia.

·CET package conditional offers.

·Applicants on the waitlist.

If any students in these categories now have the necessary documents to meet their admission requirements, please upload them to the system as soon as possible.

The university will evaluate the eligibility for admission in the second semester of 2025 based on available course slots.

Students who are not yet ready to meet their admission requirements can apply for an extension through the applicant portal before their offer expires.

If the offer has already expired, extension requests must be made via email to the processing team.

2. 2025 S2 Unconditional Offer Reminder

Unconditional offers that are not accepted by 4:00 PM (AEST) on Thursday, July 3, 2025 will expire.

3. Course Changes (New Courses, Changes, Cancellations, Suspended Courses, and Affected Start Semesters)

4. Undergraduate

Eligible students must provide the following documents:

·Final transcript from Gifted High School or SAT/ACT scores from public schools, completion letter, and signed SAP form.

Students must meet both academic and English language requirements to receive an unconditional offer. Once the Provisional Certificate is issued, it must be submitted to the admissions office as soon as possible.

Undergraduate SAP:

Students receiving unconditional offers for Semester 2, 2025, and those deferred to Semester 1, 2026, must submit their qualification certificate as soon as it's available. The expected date for qualification certificates will be provided soon.

5. Postgraduate

SAP:

Students currently enrolled in University of Sydney programs and planning to continue their postgraduate studies in 2026 (Semester 1) may apply for OSAP if they meet the relevant criteria. These students only need to submit the OSAP application form (since the University of Sydney can access their academic records).

Changes to Postgraduate Master of Education Requirements for 2025 S2:

The updated admission requirements for the Master of Education (all specializations) are:

·A Bachelor of Education with Honours or a higher qualification from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or

·Completion of a Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies (in the specialization the applicant intends to continue studying) or an equivalent qualification.

This change does not apply to current unconditional offers, CET package offers, or offers that have already been accepted.

However, any application that has not yet received an unconditional offer, including those submitted before April 29, 2025, will be assessed based on the new application standards.

Additionally, the university has decided to discontinue the Graduate Diploma in Educational Studies. Any applications that have not received an unconditional offer for this program will be withdrawn. Applicants will be given options to assess if they can transfer to the Master of Education or Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies.

The Master of Education and Graduate Certificate in Educational Studies for 2025 will only be valid for the entry time specified in the offer letter. Deferral requests will not be accepted.

Applications for postgraduate education degrees for 2026 will remain on hold, and the university will provide further updates in August 2025.

6. Important Dates for 2025 S2

If students are unable to obtain a visa and arrive by August 15, 2025, they should be advised to apply for a deferral.

Students should aim to arrive at the university at the start of the semester, but no later than August 15, 2025, to avoid academic or visa-related issues.
